Soil preparation

Power harrow

New

Attachment for seedbed preparation, combining soil milling and leveling in a single operation.

Robust and compact, the power harrow is equipped with five counter-rotating rotors, each fitted with a pair of blades that rotate on a vertical axis (unlike the rotary hoe, where the blades rotate on a horizontal axis).

The rotating blades break up larger clods of soil, creating a fine and homogeneous seedbed, ensuring optimal conditions for seed germination and root development.

A rear mesh roller allows adjustment of the working depth of the blades.

The power harrow is therefore ideal for milling and leveling the soil – carried out in a single pass – when preparing new vegetable gardens, lawns, and green areas, even in confined spaces.

In organic farming, it is also a valuable ally for the mechanical control of weeds.

Features.

  • Closed round fork with anti-clogging function and protection of the internal rotor parts.
  • Rotors: each supported by two bearings, ensuring maximum stability and reliability.
  • Rear bar: for adjusting the refinement of worked soil.
  • Rear steel mesh roller: supported by grease-lubricated bearings and height-adjustable via quick-change lever.
  • Working depth: adjustable through the roller’s quick-change lever.
  • PTO hitch: adjustable in fixed or oscillating position.
  • Side skids with shock absorbers: adjustable to three fixed positions and one floating position.

Rear roller.

The rear mesh roller, made of steel and wider than the working width of the power harrow, has a dual function:

  • it allows adjustment of the working depth of the blades,
  • it completes the milling work by leveling the soil to create an optimal seedbed.

By setting the roller in the transport position, the two-wheel tractor can be moved to and from the working area without removing the implement.

An anti-clogging scraper keeps the roller clean from stones and soil.

Types of work and applications.

The power harrow is the ideal attachment for:

  • Soil refinement after ploughing.
  • Seedbed preparation.
  • Incorporation of crop residues or fertilizers into the soil.
  • Soil leveling to improve seed germination and uniform plant growth.

The power harrow is generally used:

  • Before sowing, to create a fine and homogeneous soil.
  • After ploughing, to break up clods and make the soil more workable.
  • In organic farming, for mechanical weed management.
  • In horticulture, where very fine and precise soil preparation is required.
  • In landscaping, for creating new lawns.

Another advantage of using the power harrow is the excellent working quality, even on difficult and stony soils.
