Motor mower with four-wheels and steering wheel. Multi-purpose thanks to use with both cutter bar and reaper binder.

 

The 290 iS is a multi-purpose machine that can be used:

  • with 155 cm cutter bar for mowing forage.
  • with 140 cm reaper binder for cutting and tying wheat in bundles.

The steering wheel acting on the rear wheels with oscillating and cushioned axle, and the seat with mechanical suspension protected by a double-supporting sunroof enhance its ease of use and operating comfort.

Features.

The 290 iS is equipped with a gearbox with 4 forward gears plus 1 reverse gear and foot brakes with independent controls on both wheels, allowing the machine to be manoeuvred easily over all types of terrain.

Thanks to the special raised chassis, the machine’s centre of gravity is higher so as to facilitate the passage of tied bundles under the transmission axle.

Driver’s seat.

The comfortable driving position with step and grab handle, is equipped with:

  • Adjustable suspension seat.
  • Sunroof.
  • LED work lights, one at the rear and two at the front, to enable work at night or in poor lighting conditions.
  • Central dashboard with controls for: starter, lights, took hydraulic lift joystick, hour meter, horn and indicator lights.
  • Support for placing two additional rolls of rope.
  • Bottle holder.

Cutter bar.

The heavy-duty, continuous cutter bar has a cutting width of 155 cm and is equipped with a semi-tight tooth (spacing between the tips 50 mm).

The tedder rakes and wooden sticks divert the mown grass under the axle of the 290 iS so that it is not trampled by passing wheels.

The bar has a spring-loaded lightening system on the left side to adapt to uneven ground when working.

During transfers or end of field manoeuvres, lifting is done directly from the driving position via a joystick.

Reaper binder.

The reaper binder has a working width of 140 cm and is lifted directly from the driving position using a joystick.

The cutter bar has a normal double tine (distance between the tips: 76 mm).

The forks positioned above the cutter bar, thanks to their continuous and constant movement, allow the cut crop to be conveyed towards the tying cycle, which takes place at a height of 28 cm from the cut.

The patented tying unit, a small technical gem, calibrates the tying of the cut crop with the cutting of the twine.
