Stage V | SDT tractors

Hyper-specialised tractors with differentiated wheels and cantilevered engine.

SDT tractors, with slightly larger rear wheels than the front ones, are the ideal vehicles for those looking for a tractor that is:

  • low to work in vineyards and orchards characterised by canopy plantations, pergola vineyards or low foliage.
  • stable to also work on slopes.
  • with excellent traction qualities, comparable to those of traditional DTs.
  • with optimal floating qualities and ideal weight/power ratio.

The advantages vs isodiametric.

  1. Greater drive traction.
  2. Greater stability.
  3. Greater lifting capabilities.
  4. Aesthetics that come close to the iconographic one of traditional tractors.

The advantages vs traditional DTs.

  1. Favourable and advantageous weight distribution in uphill operations.
  2. Low centre of gravity for great stability, even sideways.
  3. OS-Frame chassis that allows the fore-carriage to oscillate up to 15° compared to the rear-carriage to have the four wheels always adhering to the ground and in traction, especially on uneven ground.
  4. Minimum soil compaction.
  5. Greater steering qualities thanks to the Dualsteer® version.

Stability on slopes.

SDT tractors have a lower centre of gravity and a 60% weight distribution on the front axle and 40% on the rear one due to the placement of the cantilevered engine.

This implies a perfect general balance (50%-50%) with the implement mounted on the rear lift, and therefore excellent stability when working on slopes.
