Steering clutches

‘WS’ motor mowers are equipped with steel multi-disc steering clutch-brake units operating in an oil bath and housed in closed wheel housings.

The lever steering controls on either side of the handlebar grips*, mechanically operated on the 630 WS and hydraulically operated on the 660 HY WS, act independently on both wheels.

The steering clutches thus guarantee maximum manoeuvrability with a very small turning radius and total control of the machine in complete safety, even in the most difficult conditions.

In fact, closing the steering brake before opening the relevant clutch inhibits the possibility of losing control of the motor mower when manoeuvring on steep slopes.
