Motor mower with raised axle structure and lateral drive unit for mowing forage.
The 622 PowerSafe® is a motor mower intended for farmers on small livestock farms and farms for intensive use where the much bulkier and more expensive combine harvesters could not work.
Designed for mowing forage and cutting grass in general, the 622 is now equipped with a PowerSafe® multi-disc clutch in an oil bath and new diesel or gasoline engines.
The 622 PowerSafe® with cutter bar complies with the EC Machinery Directive on the safety of motor mowers.

- New PowerSafe® hydraulic clutch to guarantee maximum reliability, greater operating comfort and total safety for the operator.
- Immediate stop of machine and tool in case of accidentally letting go of the handlebar.
- Eliminated the preliminaries for the re-start of the engine after letting go of the handlebar. In fact, the engine remains in motion for an immediate resumption of work.
- Differential with lock for increased traction on low-grip terrain and ability to maintain a straight line while working.
- Independent brakes on the two wheels for maximum manoeuvrability.

The ‘oscillating head’ is a mechanism that transforms the rotary motion of the shaft from the engine into alternating motion.
Through the rigid drive shaft, the connecting rod transmits motion to the cutting blade.

The ‘oscillating assembly’ is a system that transforms the alternating movement of the rigid drive shaft into alternating rectilinear motion of the blade.
This also allows the mowing blade to move independently of the machine.

Cutting unit.
The cutter bar, made for heavy and continuous use, is available in three versions:
- Cutting width 127 cm with middle cut fingers (distance between tips 50 mm).
- Cutting width 140 cm with low cut fingers (distance between tips 38 mm – recommended for stony soils).
- Cutting width 140 cm with middle cut fingers (distance between tips 50 mm).
The swath boards and wooden sticks divert the mown grass under the axle of 622 PowerSafe® so that it is not trampled by the wheels.
The bar also has a spring-loaded lightening system on the left side to adapt to uneven ground.
